As a concession to ageing knees, we began with a 6-day hut-to-hut tour, circumnavigating the Vanoise Glacier Field, including an ascent of Pointe de l’Observatoire (3015 m) and a whole day excursion to Rateau d’Aussois (3128 m). This was followed by 4 days doing day excursions from Chalet Rum Doodle in the village of Pralognan..

Excursions from Pralognan:  1. le Moriond (2298 m)  2. Crête de Mont Charvet (2403 m)  3. Mont Bochor > la Croix  4. Petit Mont Blanc (2680 m)
