After two day-walks from the Wallon hut in the Marcadau valley, including an ascent of Grande Fache (3005), we trekked along the flanks of Vignemale and over Hourquette d’Ossoue to Gavarnie, with an ascent of Petit Vignemale (3032) en route. From Gavarnie we made a 4-day circular trek through the Cirque de Gavarnie, the Brèche de Roland and the Ordesa Canyon in Spain, returning via Port Port de Boucharo. From the Brèche de Roland hut we made an ascent of le Taillon (3144).
